Blake Dawson Waldron scholarship: Jason Pombo Beiye, Deputy Court Librarian, Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea Thomson Legal & Regulatory scholarship: Wilma Marakan, Deputy Librarian, Department of Justice & Attorney General, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea Kesa, Jason and Wilma will also be joined by Haddasah Duaibe, Assistant Librarian, Attorney General's Chambers Library, Fiji, who has been sponsored to attend the Symposium by AusAid. Please make all our Pacific delegates welcome. The Pacific Libraries Scholarship has been established by the Australian Law Librarians' Group Inc. to provide professional development for law librarians/law library staff in the Pacific region, through attendance at law library conferences and the ALLG Symposium. In 2004 we are very pleased that Blake Dawson Waldron and Thomson Legal & Regulatory have joined the ALLG in offering several scholarships for Pacific librarians to attend the 2004 Australian Law Librarians' Symposium in Canberra. The Scholarships include an economy return airfare, conference registration fee, and accommodation and meal allowances for the duration of the Conference. The successful applicants may also be offered a work placement for 1 week in a law library in Canberra. Librarians and library assistants currently employed in law libraries in the Pacific region (excluding Australia and New Zealand) are invited to apply for a scholarship. Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously been awarded the scholarship or given assistance by the ALLG to attend one of their conferences. Applications should include:
