    Kinetica Cataloguing Workflows for Law Libraries

    Time: 1:30 - 5:00pm
    Venue: National Library of Australia
    Cost: $90.00 (includes afternoon tea)

    Kinetica have scheduled a program of Cataloguing Workflows Workshops in all states and territories during 2004. In conjunction with the 2004 Australian Law Librarians' Symposium, Kinetica is holding a workshop tailored specifically to the cataloguing needs of law libraries.

    The aims of the workshop are:

    • to enable Australian libraries to optimise cataloguing workflows to get the best from Kinetica;
    • to assist libraries to get the best use from their local cataloguing system; and,
    • to enable all libraries to maximise the benefits from Kinetica through shared cataloguing, resource discovery and interlending.

    The workshop is not intended to cover specific cataloguing problems and issues, but will instead provide a forum for cataloguing managers and practitioners to actively engage in discussion about the various factors involved in establishing and maintaining efficient cataloguing workflows, and to share with others in the group the benefits of their expertise and experience.

    Participants are encouraged to register early, as places are strictly limited. For more information, or to register, see the Kinetica website at http://www.nla.gov.au/kinetica/cataloguing/kcww.html.
