Scholarships and Awards

ALLA Scholarships & Awards Committee (ASAC)

This Committee has two primary functions:

1. Scholarships
To work on behalf of the Executive Committee to administer, co-ordinate and propose the award of all ALLA Scholarships. The Committee is responsible for allocating scholarships for the ALLA Annual Conference and, where appropriate, for other ALLA events including overseas legal information and library conferences.

• BIALL Annual Study Conference Scholarship
• The Lynn Pollack Memorial Scholarship
• Pacific Islands Libraries Scholarship

2. Awards
To administer, on behalf of the Executive Committee, annual, biennial, and ad hoc awards that recognise the achievements and contributions made by individuals and organisations to the Legal information profession.

ALLA currently offers the following awards:

• Legal Library Services - Australian Law Librarian of the Year Award
• Ted Glasson Australian Law Librarian Award
