ALLA history - book launch

This year is the 40th anniversary of the formation of ALLA. To celebrate, a history of the Association has been written by Donald Barker, Fiona Brown and Graeme Johanson. Setting a Precedent: The Evolution of the Australian Law Librarians’ Association 1969-2009 by  has been published by LexisNexis and was launched at the 2009 ALLA Evolution Conference in Darwin.

The book costs $25. This flyer contains details and an order form.

Nominations are now open for the office of National Vice-President.

The term of office is for one year commencing at the conclusion of the AGM, which will held on the 3rd September 2009. The term of Vice-President is followed by one year in the position of National President and one year as Immediate Past President.

Applications will close on on the 3rd July 2009. Should there be more than one nomination an election will conducted by postal vote prior to the AGM which will be held during the National Conference in Darwin.
