COVID-19 and Libraries - a summary of resources

12 August, 2020 at 6:13 AM

After coming across numerous articles and guides that we considered of interest to libraries and law librarians, the ALLA Vic Committee decided to collate these into one document so they could be shared with all members.

The document, available here (opens a pdf), is a collation of resources, found via professional social media connections and web searching, related to the effect of COVID-19 on libraries, how they are dealing with changes, and what the future might hold.

The list with links and short descriptions is divided into five topics:

1. Hygiene, quarantine & reopening

2. Legal resources

3. Webinars

4. Working differently and planning for the future

5. Career development

There is a wealth of information about COVID-19 available, this summary tries to focus on the articles and guides relevant to libraries and relatable for law librarians. It was prepared on 7 August 2020. We welcome hearing of other resources not listed in this summary and invite you to share on the ALLA LinkedIn page
